I always get distracted by other Etsy designers when I should be posting my own pieces. I can't help it! I love to see what other artists are doing. Today, I stumbled upon Raquel Castillo, a jewelry desginer based in Los Angeles. Her designs are absolutely incredible. She uses vintage enamel jewelry to construct beautiful necklaces, earrings and cuffs. They are colorful, bold and so unique. When have you ever seen something so different? I admire her use of color and the way she's not afraid to put several bold pieces all together. This is at the top of my wish list! View more of her incredibel work at her Esty shop at www.raquelcastillo.etsy.com.

Loving Rainbows
I have always loved rainbows. Since the time I was a kid, I have always been drawn to things that showcase all the shades of the rainbow. No matter how many times I create a rainbow in a piece of jewelry, I continue to go back to the idea and do it all over again in a slightly different way. These are a few of my favorite rainbows lately.

Charming!
Anyone who has seen my jewelry knows I love charms. I will wear a different charm each day depending on my mood or mix a few together for extra good luck. A few of my new pieces have sea elements like a seahorse and starfish as well as some other nature inspired choices like a feather and a canary. There is something about feeling a little trinket on my chest that makes me happy.

Etsy Shop is Open
I spent a good amount of time this weekend taking photos and posting new items on Etsy. Take a look at my shop! Sellername is JenniferReaJewelry (have to remember no spaces) or click here www.jenniferreajewelry.etsy.com. White photography is tricky, lighting is trickier and finding ways to display jewelry is the trickiest! But I think I am getting better and I'm finally happy with these shots. Check back often as there are new charm necklaces and a yoga line on the way! Happy Monday all!

New from Jennifer Rea
New for Spring! These are handmade sterling silver hoops with aqua spears, faceted smoky and pineapple quartz teardrops and faceted jade teardrops. About 2 1/2 inches in length. A bold, colorful choice for spring! These are available at Sanctuary Day Spa in Ocean Beach. Visit their website at www.thesanctuarytoday.com or leave a comment for more information.
Featured Designer: Wendy Mink Jewelry
Wendy Mink is one of my favorite jewelry designers. Based in New York's Tribeca neighborhood, her pieces are all handmade using gemstones, wood, shells, resin and metal among other materials. Her pieces are used frequently in the editorial pages of national fashion magazines, especially in spring and summer since her collections always have lots of bright colors. Probably another reason why I like her pieces so much! View her entire collection at www.wendyminkjewelry.com. Pictured above are handmade hammered 22k gold vermeil teardrops with semi-precious yellow chalcedony & citrine drops.

Tuileries
What a fabulous find! I just ordered this from kate spade and can't wait for it to arrive. I remember when these were out during the holidays and I eyed them enviously in the case at kate spade. I must have good shopping karma today because I was browsing the kate spade site when I came across it...on sale...for an additional 20% off...with free shipping...in my size. It's call the tuileries ring, which refers to a former royal palace in Paris. Do you think when I wear it I will feel like royalty?
Welcome to my new blog! I'm so happy to finally be a part of the blogging world. Hopefully my tech savvy-ness will increase with each post. My jewelry line has been expanding over the past couple years and with a new website in the works and more stores, there is more news than ever to share with everyone. Stay tuned for pictures of new pieces, things that inspire and posts about other designers doing amazing, creative things.
